The Crime Commission operates the Criminal Justice Video Library consistent with its statutory responsibility to assist in the training of criminal and juvenile justice personnel.  The Library includes more than 700 videotapes covering 73 subject areas such as crime prevention, drug / alcohol enforcement, gangs, highway safety, public safety, AIDS, child abuse, criminal investigations, legal procedures, civil liability, corrections, use of force, law enforcement, patrol techniques, domestic violence and search and seizure guidelines.   

The Library's videotapes are available to criminal and juvenile justice agencies, schools, colleges, state agencies and the public.  The majority of video requests come from law enforcement agencies for use in training programs.  

The Criminal Justice Video Library Catalog, provides a subject index and description of each video available for rental through the Library.  A minimal rental fee is charged each time a video is borrowed.  Two McGruff costumes, a McGruff trench coat and McGruff puppet are available for rental by law enforcement agencies only for use in educational and public service programs.
