Jail Admissions

Adult Jail and Juvenile Detention Admission and Release Database

The Jail Standards Division, in conjunction with the Statistical Analysis Center (SAC), maintains Nebraska's Jail and Juvenile Detention Admission and Release Database. Admission and release data is submitted by jails, lockups, and juvenile detention centers throughout the state on a monthly basis. This database is used to provide information on the characteristics of the state's adult and juvenile detention populations as well as in assessing the adequacy of existing programs and planning for new facilities. Admission and release data is available to local jurisdictions upon request. Annual printouts of the data are utilized during jail and juvenile detention facility inspections as well as in conducting compliance monitoring for the federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act. The Nebraska Jail Population Report, published on a regular basis, provides detailed statistical information on the most recent year’s data.

Jail Admissions and Secure Detention Queries

The following information details those holds in jails, lockups and secure juvenile detention facilities.  Information reported to the Crime Commission reflects data that are known about the person admitted at the time they are taken into the facility. It is possible that the status, or charges, may change in the duration of the hold but that information will not be reflected here. It must be remembered that these data represents all admissions.

The Jail Admissions online search is currently under construction and therefore unavailable.
